The Brandeis University men's fencing team picked up two wins in five matches against some stiff competition today at the 2018 Brandeis Invitational.

- Brandeis 16, Incarnate Word 11
- North Carolina 15, Brandeis 12
The men's foil squad had the best day for the Judges, winning four of their five matches. They were 7-2 winners over UNC and UIW, defeated Cornell 6-3, and edged St. John's, 5-4.
Men's saber went 3-2 on the day, including 8-1 wins over Cornell and Incarnate Word.
Men's foil junior Ian Quin (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) led the way for the Judges, going 9-3 across his four matches. He was 3-0 against St. John's, Incarnate Word and Cornell, dropping three to Yale.
Rookie Lucas Lin (Plano, Texas / Plano West) paced the men's saber squad with a 5-2 record, including 3-0 vs. Cornell and 2-1 vs. North Carolina.
Junior Chris Armstrong (Highland Park, Ill. / Highland Park) was responsible for four of the six wins for men's epee.
