NYU Women's Golf Leads After Round Two of NCAA Championship

From NYU Athletics

After entering Wednesday's second round of the 2019 Division III NCAA Championship in a tie for seventh place, the New York University women's golf team took over the lead after shooting 302. NYU's two-day total of 613 puts the Violets one stoke ahead of second-place Methodist University.

The four-round, 25-team tournament is being held at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX, Tuesday-Friday, May 14-17.

NYU shot 311 on Tuesday, but shot up the leader board after carving nine strokes off that total on Wednesday.

Leading the way in round two was Arisha Mahant, who shot a one-under-par 71. She is now tied for 16th place in the 131-person field.

Jessica Wu, who shot 76 on Wednesday after opening the tournament with a two-over-par 74, sits in a tie for fifth place.

Arisa Kimura (177, 80-77) is in a tie for 29th place.

Navika Kuchakulla (160) and Patty Treevichaphan (162), are tied for 54th and 60th places, respectively.
